Participating in the Slient Manga Audition helped me a ton in realizing that a lot of panels are just fine being ridiculously simple (i.e. dots for eyes instead of drawing the eyesocket and stuff). All the nice lines and details can go into the establishing shots and dramatic super close ups.

Well I didn't really learn this for falling asleep quickly but "Autogenic Training" is a really good relaxation technique in general. Downside is you need a professional like a therapist to teach it to you.
But it's ridiculously good for sleeping (at least for me)
