The reason gullible people believe all protesters are paid is because they can't conceive of anyone giving a shit about anyone other than themselves.

They will make more than that selling on singles. Or they might have a related YouTube income.

We keep the boosters at RRP and limit sales per day. They don't last long. We like to keep some back for kids though.

Potatoes (a main ingredient in both the β€œtraditional” Sunday roast and fish & chips) only arrived in the British Isles from South America around the 1580s, & didn’t catch on as a popular food until the late 18th century; which is also about the same time curry arrived in the UK

Don’t worry, that article turned out to basically be a theory exercise. The β€œai” was a guy roleplaying.

More seriously, start thinking about table time as a resource. How much time do you want to spend on combat? How long does an action (including all related decisions) take to process? Given that, how many actions can each player take in a combat?

Now make combat as good as you can with that budget

Screen grab of a post by Justin Alexander which reads

"Gary Gygax, Dave Arneson, Brennan Lee Mulligan, and Justin Alexander all run their campaigns differently than you do.

What do they know that you don't?

And what are the five keys you need to unlock these epic campaigns for yourself?"

God, who wrote this post which lists Justin Alexander alongside Gary Gygax, Dave Arneson and Brennan Lee Mulligan?

Oh. Right.

ULEZ means about 1,500 sq kilometres - the whole of Greater London - is covered by road emissions control.

Stop and think about that for a second. It's incredible. Its impact on public health has been huge.

Studies said it would take 200 YEARS to reach this emission level. Khan did it in five.

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.

The thing you always have to understand when faced with paens to "grindset culture" is that a 60+ hour week is very different in the C-suite compared to the production line. The former is largely made of up doing whatever you want, socialising ("networking") and chatting shit.

Apologies for the typos. Today's excuse is I've been sitting in this car showroom for two and a half hours and the combination of fluorescent lights and awful radio has melted my brain and confettied my soul.

It's really telling that mainstream journalists are doing stuff about the *possibility* of the ADF or the Heritage Foundation starting to influence UK politics, when the reality is that they have been here for years, spending huge quantities of cash and succeeding in areas like trans rights.

ComicBuzz has previews of the 35th Anniversary issue of the JUDGE DREDD MEGAZINE (out this month), feat. 'Letter From America' by me, Colin MacNeil, @dylanteague.bsky.social & Annie Parkhouse.

Colin drew the classic 'America' in the first issue of the Megazine so this is great-looking symmetry.

Documents Allege a Federal Agent at Portland ICE Threatened to Shoot an Ambulance Driver Feds delayed medics who had come to pick up an injured protester. Then, according to confidential incident reports, the agents became aggressive.

ICE agents blocked ambulance from transferring an injured protester to the hospital, even going as far as to threaten to arrest and shoot the driver.

This crosses so many lines.

EMS and first responders need to be free to help whoever needs it.

Delays cost lives.

If you've never been to Gaza, you won't appreciate what the yellow line means. Basically Israel now holds most of Gaza's small but important agricultural land. Continued Israeli occupation, which I judge the likely outcome, makes Gaza even more unliveable and more dependent on outside goods.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
