I just mean it's a terrible name.

The rpg itself is fine I guess. Although the rulebook is pretty bad at explaining things.

whatever you call this art style - PS2 era medium-poly characters with hand-made highly detailed but also somewhat blurry textures with baked-in lighting - I absolutely love it and it makes me want to drop everything and make games

Promoting the Second Gig KS with some subtle messaging (posting "Boy it sure would be nice if one of the RPGnet posters who follow me found and bumped the Hard Wired Island thread or something")

Wealthy Dubai residents race back to UAE to avoid tax bills Some risk spending too few days in the emirate and too many in the UK

Tax exiles stuck in London desperately trying to get *back* to Dubai to avoid becoming tax resident in the UK? Just great stuff. giftarticle.ft.com/giftarticle/...

Consider the vast unknowable, uncaring, universe woo l we get a peak into in Alien, and compare that to the nonsense Lore provided to us in Prometheus.

I have seen others state that the problem with Lore is that it takes away any mystery from fiction. Instead of watching a film and being left to consider all the potential implications, you are told to go read the wiki or wait for the sequel.

This is the point. If your vaunted trillion-dollar military can't get through a few days of airstrikes because you've consolidated the industrial base so badly, then you don't have a trillion-dollar military, you just have contractors in No. Virginia getting rich

Call of Cthulhu campaign about a bunch of lonely people off the internet coming together to search for monsters and finding themselves –just before the swirling vortex of madness consumes them all.

Okay, chat, I just had a great idea. A board game where the players must chase down and catch fishβ€”who fear themβ€”while evading womenβ€”who want them.

The UK Government leans ever further toward what the extreme right demand, instead of confronting it and showing leadership against the tide of racism.

Stop making live-service games.

The market can't sustain their existence and employees don't withstand their failure.

Not every game can be a part-time job for players and most are already entrenched in an old favourite.

The Green Party’s victory in Gorton and Denton is a landmark moment in British politics - and is significant to the LGBTQIA+ community, and the fight for Trans+ rights.

So it’s happened.

The first arrest has now been made since the Public Order Act (2023) was amended to classify animal testing sites as β€œkey national infrastructure.”

This is Britain in 2026, where you can be arrested and detained simply for peacefully protesting against animal testing.

A funny thing happened on the way to the Roach God… The last few sessions of my Reach of the Roach God campaign have been a great example of why I choose to run games this way.

Recently I have been trying to talk about play in RPGs rather than adding to the cyclical discussions of rules/mechanics/systems. The last few sessions of my Reach of the Roach God campaign have given me a great opportunity to do just that.

Maybe it was a targeted attack on superheros?

I'm fairly sure the multiverse started in Alan Moore's Excalibur.

My favorite Lovecraft story is that one where the narrator was like "Boo hoo there's a generational curse in my family, all the male descendants die super young ever since we were cursed by the Sorcerer" and the Sorcerer just lived in their basement and shot each dude with a gun
