Every so often, someone makes a comment like that to me and the little TellTale game caption appears; "Marjorie will remember you said that."

One of my coworkers told me, "I thought you'd get more dressed up for the Halloween potluck." I thought I was dressed up. Oh, well, it's not like I'm going to remember that off-handed comment for a full year, then wear some earth-shaking outfit to next year's mixer. What an imagination you have.

Now you have only 1 day left.

Inside of me are two wolves. One understands and respects the necessity of copyright protection. The other hopes several cool Nintendo fan projects never get shut down.

But do we love Ranma enough?

I tell myself, "Tuna salad is made with mayonnaise, lots of shrimp salads include a dressing, and seafood salad exists. Maybe there's a way that the Thousand Island dressing will work."
My mind is fighting to accept this, but it is a losing battle.

Once, he didn't like a meal I made for him and he told me, "This food would restore one Heart Point and one Flower Point" and it was the worst burn anything I made has ever received.

I showed the Paper Plates cookbook to my nephew, who played the original Paper Mario religiously when he was 8. (He completed it at least 3 times.)
He really wants to try making Paper Mario food.

In my mostly white family, anyone who's a generation older is your aunt or uncle. What's the alternative, explaining to your two-yr-old, "This is your first cousin once removed on your father's side"?
There must be tons of people who get this, but are faking ignorance to engineer a "gotcha" moment.

I am not convinced that Pick-Me boys are real, but if I was, "I'm a teenage boy who never looked at nudes before, but I find them unattractive and I need to explain this to my IRL crush" would be high on that list of suspects.

Remember all those articles about how a real-life holodeck would only mess people up? It turns out we never needed advanced space age/science fiction technology, we could ruin ourselves just fine with simple words on a screen.

I was okay with the ports until the first time my 4-year-old niece hid my USB to USB3 adapter, and then I was angry enough to punch the sun. Not angry at the child, mind you, but angry at the short-sighted designer who allowed these events to unfold.

"Why, yes, I manage Christmas festivities and my wife is in charge of Halloween mischief. Oh, have you met our pet rabbit?"
