We all have unique numbers, but benefit calcualtions are not made until retirement as tjey are based on number of quarters worked, and the age you choose to start receiving benefit.

There are no individual social security accounts. It is considered an earned benefit because a worker has to have worked and paid into the system for 20 quarters to earn the benefit.
