Robert had been going to give a paper at the colloquium in memory of Malcolm Heath to be held in Leeds in May. It is a particular sadness that we will not, after all, be seeing him then. We will pass on details of funeral/ commemorative arrangements as they become available.

We were deeply saddened to learn that our former colleague Robert Maltby died last week. Having taught at Leeds since 1989, Robert was Professor of Latin Philology by the time he took early retirement in 2013 and though he moved away from Leeds, he stayed in touch.
