CM never regularly confuses fact with opinion; simple statement of fact is all that’s needed, we can make our own judgement on whether or not the government “is keen to be seen …”.
Appalling statement by LK; epitomises mediocraty & bias at the BBC
It's impressive how she keeps managing to be wrose than she was before.
It’s the few credible journalists still left at BBC that I feel sorry for; hope they don’t get tarred with the same brush! Very evident that poor standard of reporting and bias seems to be valued at “Aunty” these days.
Appalling. We can make judgements. Give us the facts and WE will judge!
When I was at the BBC I struggled over things like writing “said” or “claimed” because one might come across as more partial. And somehow this gets published?
NEW: Net migration almost halved last year. But 84% of regular GB News viewers believe it went up.
More importantly, new research revealing this also suggests the public opposes politicians presenting shows - contradicting Ofcom.
Lisa Nandy now taking note:
www.theguardian.com/media/2025/o...
No 10: "Data out today shows that the government has delivered an extra 4.2 million [NHS England] appointments since July [2024], over double our target of 2 million in the first year.
"This shows our Plan for Change in action – helping millions of patients get seen quicker and more conveniently."
Here’s to another relaxing Sunday.
This is Winston Churchill visiting the White House during World War II.
Funny how he isn’t wearing a suit either. Almost like he was a wartime leader defending his country from being slaughtered and wiped out by an authoritarian aggressor.
Any poisoning of minds is the consequence of a biased media
To the doctor with a sore throat and cough whom I saw seeing patients, no, a throat lozenge is not an adequate mitigation against spreading your illness.
The UK has 500,000 almost always empty second homes, and 700,000 ones that are simply empty.
Slapping double, triple, quadruple Council Tax on these properties would not only help Councils but force people to sell them providing more homes.
It is a win, win.
The media are complicit in keeping Nigel Farage & Reform movement in the public eye; they are less generous to the Lib Dem’s . Silly publicity stunts clearly less effective than promoting lies & prejudice.
Interesting; thanks for posting
I agree. ‘Am an avid follower of enlightenment on here.
Incredible, how casually Kuenssberg skates over the fact she got the facts flat-out wrong in her framing of the opening question, in order to make a hostile editorial point.
Just presses on, as if a minister having to put her right on basic inaccuracies is an ordinary part of any BBC interview.
Farmers and how only the super rich, less than 100 a year will be taxed, and still at only 20%.
Every Sunday morning I get more and more convinced that Laura Kuenssberg believes she is auditioning for a lucrative spot with GB News
Hope it doesn’t clash with your mayoral duties!
Well that is certainly a plus in my estimation of him; just amazed it was worth reporting !!
Hello! Looking for new bluesky gang who care about the NHS!
Twitter is a truly terrible place and I’m sure many of us were connected on there. Could you like and share this, and I’ll follow you back? Ju🤞💙
Sad to see this. I enjoyed his work (often playing authoritarian figures despite his own gentle nature). His series on canal journeys was beautiful, especially his love and care for Prunella. www.theguardian.com/stage/2024/n...
