Phew. Although, I'm sorry for your pain.

(but also grateful it's sports and not... *waves hands around*)

Wow. Brood showing up on BlueSky this weekend. I feel required to mention every time that I was in that movie. Fun experience too.

Sitting at the mall wearing my mask and snapping to the air for everything you've said.

I ALSO REALLY WISH that people understood that the work isn't done when 'our people' get into office.

That's when we push harder to get EVERYONE up as far as we can.

I'm sick of us all wallowing on the floor

Dark money group offers influencers $1,500 for posts attacking Chicago Democratic primary candidate Progressive House candidate Kat Abughazaleh told MS NOW the secretive campaign is “filled with false and defamatory claims.”

HOLY SHIT.

A dark money group, hidden behind a bunch of shell companies, is paying influencers thousands of dollars PER POST to attack @katmabu.bsky.social on social media a month before her election.

Thank you to the people who declined the money and went forward with this. So who's behind this?

That is a truly clear and comprehensible explanation and I had to stop and tell you how much I appreciate it when I see something so satisfying.

4th Circuit Rules That States Can Compel Trans Adults To "Appreciate Their Sex" Via Care Bans They ruled that states "encouraging citizens to appreciate their sex" through care bans is a constitutional goal, affirming West Virginia's Medicaid ban for trans adults.

1. Horrifying ruling out of the 4th Circuit.

An all-Republican 4th Circuit panel has just ruled that states can compel trans adults to "appreciate their sex" by enacting care bans.

It even directly says that trans adult care bans are legal in the ruling.

Reynolds signs Iowa law barring local trans civil rights protections City and county civil rights commissions may no longer protect Iowans from gender identity-based discrimination under a law signed by Gov. Reynolds.

Within just a few hours of this morning's genocide warning from the Lemkin Institute, the 4th Circuit ruled that trans adults can have our care banned and be forced by any means to "appreciate our sex", and Iowa made it ILLEGAL to protect trans people.

Grammarly Is Facing a Class Action Lawsuit Over Its AI ‘Expert Review’ Feature The feature, which Grammarly shut down Wednesday, presented editing suggestions as if they came from established authors and academics—without their consent.

I'm suing Grammarly over its paid AI feature that presented editing suggestions as if they came from me - and many other writers and journalists - without consent.

State law requires consent before someone's name can be used for commercial purposes.

most of my anger towards dems is they repeatedly invoke this trope and then do not govern, either in majority or minority, as if it was true. whereas i actually often do believe it and believe the responsibility to act like it’s true extends past the first week of november

New NHS England Review Excluded 97% Of All Trans Studies To Say Care Doesn't Work The new review has led to a ban for HRT through the NHS England system under the age of 18.

@rikiwilchins.bsky.social 2026 Mar 10 EITM
In announcing new HRT ban for minors, NHS England publishes 10 reviews showing there's little evidence for it. By parsing the question into 10 narrowly-focused reviews they were able to exclude 97% of 547 available studies on HRT, most showing it works.

SO much respect for this choice.

Collective action needs people with influence to make the right choices and lead by example.

What you're doing honours the struggle you've all been through.

Very appreciated by those of us trying to support the creative arts and the people who make them.

❗On Friday evening, the CAJ learned that journalist Rachel Gilmore had recently been approached in public by individuals linked to, or implicated in, an investigation she had written, and was published by The Tyee that focused on white nationalists.

My daily mango consumption has become an issue my family has encouraged me to do some research about because it might be insane.

Can't stop, won't stop, and sort of waiting for the inevitable 'this is why you'll die if you keep it up' reply because it's...a LOT.

People have lost nuance entirely.

There's also that team thing - "We must be 100% behind you (right or wrong)" that dominates and it's SO WEIRD.

My family always told me to vote for the person who was closest to my goals - and most importantly - someone who would hear and act when I yell at them.

The covers of three books. Left to right: Gandolfini: Jim, Tony, and the life of a legend, about the late Sopranos actor. The cover shows Gandolfini looking shy, peering offscreen with one unobstructed eye and another that peeks out between the fingers of his right hand.
CENTER: The cover of Cinema Her Way, a coffee table book by Marya E. Gates about female directors. On the cover is actress Michelle Rodriguez as the boxer heroine of Karyn Kusama's sports drama Girlfight, about a woman boxer.
RIGHT David Hockney's painting collection The Arrival of Spring in Normandy, showing a painting of a verdant field. In the background of the field is green grass. in the upper foreground are the branches of a tree sprouting white, cottony buds. A screenshot of the pre-orders section at mzs.press. Three screenshots of books that have not yet been released. I Am The Night, Daniel Dockery's book about Batman the Brave and the Bold, has a silhouette of Batman stretching from the top to the bottom of the cover, with the title of the book and a nighttime Gotham skyline circumscribed by the borders of the Batman silhouette.

CENTER The cover of The Ring Cycle, Matt Zoller Seitz and Odie Henderson's book on the Rocky and Creed films. The cover is white except for a pair of black boxing gloves floating there

RIGHT The cover of Documentary Now!, the 600-page, 7-pound coffee table book celebrating the aforementioned IFC Channel series parodying classic documentaries. Screenshot of three books carried at mzs.press arts bookstore:
LEFT: Cover of Lead Sister, a biography of Karen Carpenter, featuring a closeup of Carpenter playing and singing with The Carpenters.
CENTER: The cover of Anthony Hopkins' We Did OK, Kid, a memoir of his life and career. On the cover is Hopkins in closeup as he looks presently, narrowed blue eyes looking directly at the spectator.
RIGHT: Cover of Louis Armstrong In His Own Words, a collection of the bandleader's correspondence. The cover image is a photograph of a probably fortysomething Armstrong seated at the wooden desk in his office where he often wrote letters. Screenshot of the covers of 3 books carried at mzs.press Arts Bookstore.
LEFT: The cover of Gotham City Cocktails, a book of mixed drink recipes inspired by Batman. Art deco-style flowing border lines flow around and around the interior of the dust jacket. At the center are drawings of two tall cocktail glasses and between them, a shot glass and a tumbler with a sword-pierced cherry in it.
CENTER: The cover of Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea Cookbook. Green cover, white writing and graphics. The central image is a teapot with stem lines coming out of it, and at the pot's base, a teacup and saucer and a separate plate of biscuits.
RIGHT: Bob's Burgers "The Re-Recipe Box," a set of recipe cards inspired by the joke hamburger names featured on the small board at the front of Bob's joint. Red sides with small graphics, cover image of the restaurant.

Israel has shut the Rafah border in Gaza once again. Israel opened the Rafah border from February 2nd to 28th, after seizing and shutting it completely for nearly 2 years.
In the 26 days the border was open, only a few sick and injured Palestinians were able to evacuate out of the tens of thousands who require urgent medical attention and care. A minimal amount of food, medicine, and people were allowed to enter Gaza in this short period of time. While Israel continues to genocide Gaza, its calculated use of starvation as a weapon of war acts as a tool of collective punishment in an attempt to make Palestinian survival near impossible.
Israel's impunity and deliberate attempts to erase Palestinian life in Gaza and the West Bank continues in broad daylight for all to see. This is why we must all continue to use our privileges and freedoms to help fight, work, speak, and organize for the liberation of Palestine and all oppressed people in the world.
A day will come when Gaza is no longer, مُحاصَرة, besieged by land, air and sea.

Together we must #BreakTheSiege of Gaza.
The genocide of the Palestinian people is not only still raging but exponentially ramping up, while Zionist & imperialist leaders are trying to make us look away.
There is no ceasefire, there never was...

I went to the Paralympics in 2012. I couldn't stop happy crying. It was so uplifting. In those days, I was fully able bodied (not so much now). So I appreciate the things these athletes can achieve even more now.

I try to keep a low profile but can do that option too. I think it's time.

(The hard part I think is letting go of the hero move when the client I haven't heard from in 10 years asks me if I can 'hack back in' since they didn't follow my user management protocols. And I can and it's awful haha.)

I'm definitely planning to move to Proton (once I have the psychological strength to migrate 25 years of client connections and re-plot workflows and requirements around it)

But yeah, privacy management is our job as users.

I wish privacy / copyright etc wasn't in such a dismal place right now.

Oh, didn't realize they also called the collections "distasteful" and "disrespectful" too.

Boy, sure would suck if a bunch of the projects listed suddenly got a lot of extra support or something 😳 that would sure show me!

Would hate if someone found a story that was specific to their taste. 😩💦
