I'd vote for Marron - sweet chestnut. Hard and bitter on the outside, sweet on the inside (though I always seem to end up with some bitter pith left. That's probably a metaphor for something).

To Farage it's all about who you're siding with. What you signal with your loyalty is more important than facts, or whether your words will cause people harm.

OMG that's why all these things are so obsessed with you adding contacts? Everyone else is so fit, it's very unmotivating and pointless. Except my partner and I compare "Body Battery" sometimes for fun IRL (it's a useless/inaccurate score on Garmin that you can't improve).

Sometimes literally. I've seen poncho tents. The question of what you do when you need both at the same time remains unanswered.

Griffin’s definition of fascism as palingenetic ultranationalismβ€”specifically a reactionary nostalgia for a lost history of the nation that never existedβ€”remains undefeated. A nostalgia for a type of bread that is ubiquitous, created in the 20th century, and rage towards bread as old as civilisation

Love Radio 3, love that the Proms are all just on there for free, love the halftime chat that has the same structure as halftime chat in sport but where they are never, ever going to actually go β€œwell, he’s not a *great* Finnish conductor, is he?”

Ugh. It's like they have amnesia. Even in the car, where I could be interested in voice input, I can't bring myself to care enough to set it up. It's nice to have a bit of time off. Just switch between the 2 random radio stations it found before I interrupted its scanning by mistake.

How to be a man The right story narrative about male attractiveness is grounded in Social Darwinism and free market economics. Can progressives tell a better story?

OK so feeling slightly apprehensive about this, which I suppose is kind of the point. This is an attempt at a progressive view on masculinity and on men getting laid. God help me. iandunt.substack.com/p/how-to-be-...

A Day in the Life of the Gen Z Worker Are you sure these are new workplace trends? Are you sure you aren’t just describing a routine phenomenon in an alarmed way?

The Gen Z worker awakes in the morning from her Microdeath (a new workforce trend where workers deliberately close their screens, repose horizontally, and are unavailable to respond to emails for up to eight hours)
