It’s not really changed a great deal.

There are volunteers at the entrance who say there is a ‘voluntary donation’ but just tell them you are going for a cuppa and they will leave you alone. It’s well worth a look inside, there is 500+ years of history, you can spend a couple of hours there.

It is mate, nice to have a stroll around and a cuppa in a 650 year old hall. Food and drink is very good too and prices are reasonable.

A cuppa at Chester Cathedral Refectory is always a joy.

First run out for the new socks made old Mum made me. Well into her 80s and blind as a bat she’s still a wizard with her knitting needles.

Spike Island again?

Yeah, they look and sound glorious. Not the fastest of bikes but they are light, accelerate well up to 60 or so and really handle well. Mine starts first or second kick and doesn’t vibrate at legal speeds. Brakes are rubbish and I’m considering some upgrades which are pretty cheap but effective.

Not really one for cleaning and polishing my bikes but gave the old girl a bit of a once over and she scrubs up rather well.

Add some peas and you’d be all over that Brian.
