I am not a Christian, but when researching for my resource in did a lot of digging. And was most surprised by all of the Animism and Shamanism references in the Bible! It's incredible. All humans are animists.

Yes. Everything has a spirit. And we can interact and build a relationship with those spirits.

There are multiple references to Animist practices in the Bible [Old Testament.] Where the prophets of old erected altars and offered oil offerings to the Holy Land they encountered.

They are smiling in between songs. And having a good time. They are sitting outside around a fire. And there are drinks on the table next to them.

Animism is not synonymous with Native American Spirituality. All of our ancestral cultures practiced Animism.

Animism is also not just a trend for people who are Neo-Pagans.

As we pray for ourselves, our families, and each other, we must also pray for the Earth, and for the souls who will be born here in the future.

It's our job to look ahead and make sure that this beautiful place is habitable and prosperous for our children, and their children, and so on.
