Thanks everybody for your replies. I can see the benefits of shorter writing. It would be nice if it was in the form of a back and forth dialogue. And I guess you can always do multiple posts to chain longer thoughts.

I don't understand how to approach writing with a limit of 300 characters. This is why I never joined Twitter. Can somebody help me understand why posts have to be so short, and how to approach writing within these constraints?
