I'm glad that I can walk 2.1km to reach V-Mall in less than 30 minutes. I call that walking distance.

Just finished filling out that damn CS Form 212 Personal Data Sheet. I can now start applying for government work, especially since Clean Air Asia hasn't gotten back to me.

I haven't followed Christian traditions in years, but starting today, I've decided that I'm going to abstain on eating meat during Fridays for the entirety of the Lenten season.

Someone mentioned that the Philippine electorate votes candidates based on "winnability." I don't know how true this is, but that was the case with my dad, who voted for Senators that he thought was gonna win instead of the progressive candidates back in the 2019 Senate elections.

I know we're making fun of the possibility that the current VP is gonna be absent during the Presidential debates, but I find these debates insufficient for the electorate. To me, I don't think these debates are effective at shattering the Duterte mythos.

I truly abhor Facebook. The only reason why I still use it is to find jobs and look at some meme pages. I wish I had more of my Facebook friends in here.

I wish there were a Google sheet version of the CSC Personal Data Sheet because Microsoft Office is garbage.

Anyway, I'm no political analyst. I just think Facebook plays a significant role in our national politics because the normies all use it, and I think they all form their opinions on the news comsecs, which are filled with bots and trolls.

I'm not even surprised that Sara Duterte announced her bid for presidency, but Facebook has been such a terrible platform that does nothing to stop the fake news against the opposition and the Pro-Duterte propaganda, I wish we all just stopped using that trash platform.

Sana talaga tuluyan nang makulong sina Bato (MIA) at Bong Go sa ICC, at sina Chiz, Joel, at Jinggoy (flood control).

It is now CONFIRMED that the ICC has labeled Bong Go as a co-perpetrator of the drug war.

Is he gonna follow Bato's footsteps and go into hiding? In that case, would that mean there would be a decrease in the Minority bloc's presence in the Senate? πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

I'm glad someone on Threads finally pointed this out because this is a WEIRD urban layout. I can't think of a city outside the Philippines where gated communities crowd the railway stations and major thoroughfares like this.

I don't think the driver should be criminally liable for accidentally hitting the student who jumped off the LRT station (RIP to him) and hit his car on his fall. If it ever goes to court, it's going to be a landmark case since there isn't a law that specifically addresses this matter.

This also includes foreign workers who are part of illegal mining operations. Get out of our country!

You go to Antwerp, Paris, Luxembourg, or New York, their stations are picturesque, as if the station is an important city landmark. Meanwhile, in Metro Manila, most of the stations are purely functional. Even worse, the stations primarily get their value if they're annexed to a shopping mall.

11.02.2026 13:03 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

If I also have to guess why these stations aren't made into open spaces like in other countries, it's because the government fears the homeless would invade these spaces. Once again, this goes back to the problem we have in Metro Manila's urban form and lack of affordable housing with access.

11.02.2026 13:03 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

It's because public transportation isn't highly valued in this country. Few people here share the vision of making these railway stations into valuable transport hubs. The closest we have to that is One Ayala, and that's a privately-owned space; the station itself remains small with basic functions.

Someone on Threads criticized how the MRT-7 stations "contribute little to the urban character of one of Metro Manila's most important corridors" and that "public infrastructure so often defaults to the purely functional."

We don’t need a Kan*n Party List. That's some chronically-online 4chan concept for Filipinos that think they're American but are completely detached from the Philippines' political landscape and reality. Stop giving them clout.

Didn't occur to me that we have a law requiring students to plant trees before graduating with a diploma. Looks cool until you realize that the government is doing little to stop illegal deforestation from mining companies that are also destroying the locals' livelihood.

I've learned from some online discussions and my infrastructure audit with DOTr that our building code plays a role regarding the way businesses use the sidewalks as parking spaces.
