I also saw a coordinated attack against our school board that disregarded practical and legal restrictions on what our school board can actually do. I suspect JKF is trying to build a base of support with an eye on the November elections. Shame on these biased reporters.
This article GROSSLY mischaracterizes what happened at that school board meeting last night. What I saw was an enormous outpouring of support for our trans kids.

Thrilled about the turnout at the town hall held by my congressional representative, Brittany Pettersen, on this International Women’s Day. It felt great to be in a room with so many likeminded neighbors!
For me, anger tends to be overwhelming and all consuming and too close to hate.
I’ve decided to give up anger for lent. This is going to be a hard one. I’m rereading The Dandelion Insurrection by @riverasun.bsky.social for inspiration. 🌼❤️
Please fold this into stories about Trump’s little performance yesterday.
The US should stand with democratic governments and condemn attacks by authoritarian regimes. Today’s display was sickening. 🇺🇦
Frankly, I don’t think there’s much we can do on a national level so I’m focusing on strengthening my local community and seeing what I can do to help the most vulnerable where I am.
A worthy 45 second read.
So just to be clear, the same people who were excited that the Supreme Court threw out Chevron deference last year are now mad that a judge is stopping an illegal and illegitimate “executive branch department” from taking certain actions? Cool. Cool.
what we’re seeing is that the courts are willing to rule against the government on certain things but there’s no one to actually enforce it.
A lot of Americans are just now learning what most lawyers have always known - laws only work if someone is willing to enforce them.
Anyone else fighting off a panic attack this morning?
We tried that with mining. Many, many people died.
It IS time to organize and mobilize. You might be feeling powerless right now. You are NOT. Get active on a grassroots level, write to your U.S. representatives, plan a demonstration. Or simply engage in some mutual aid. Clean up trash in your neighborhood. Donate to a charity. These things matter.
The Trump administration has placed two top security chiefs at the U.S. Agency for International Development on leave after they resisted turning over classified material in restricted areas to Elon Musk’s staffers. America, please stand with us—we are fighting to defend this country!
Sometimes it feels pointless to keep washing my recyclables and composting food scraps when we’re losing all restrictions on large corporations, but I’m going to keep doing it anyway.
So proud to have him as my senator!
BREAKING — I'm told OPM just sent out this memo with guidance for implementing Trump's "Defending Women" anti-trans executive order.
"Take down all outward facing media that inculcate or promote gender ideology. Review email systems and turn off features that prompt users for their pronouns."
“Abortion is still legal. Abortion is still accessible in many, many parts of the country.”
I truly believe one of the most important things we can do right now is build community. We’re going to need each other more than ever in the coming months.
While we may face repercussions for this, the truth lies in the metadata. Memos to federal employees are being authored by individuals with ties to Project 2025. You can verify this yourself.
For example, download the memo titled “Guidance on Presidential Memorandum: Return to In-Person Work” sent by Charles Ezell, Acting Director at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, dated January 24. Website: www.opm.gov/policy-data-...
To create as much justice and safety as possible, we have to defy authority and disobey, writes @mskellymhayes.bsky.social
The litigant that can afford a large team of lawyers will often have their lawyers file mountains of motions that the side that the other side (lacking the same resources) can’t possibly respond to to try to force a settlement that favors the wealthier side. Don’t give in. (3/3)
Yes, they are hoping our questionable Supreme Court will uphold them, but I think mostly this is the political equivalent of a common litigation tactic. (2/3)
They’re trying to overwhelm us. Don’t let them. This flood of executive orders - many of them blatantly unconstitutional - and terrible bills making their way through Congress are all a tactic to make us give up. (1/3)
Horrifying.
