Am I utterly unhinged re. moving from MS Word to LibreOffice as a pro writer and editor? Am I opening up a horrid can of worms that will make my clients and collaborators hate me, or are these olden anxieties no longer valid in this, the Year of Our %$#@, 2026?

How’s the track changes function? My editing clients rely on it.
I bought a lifetime MS Office 2021 licence a while back so I can work offline and never deal with subs, and all was hunkydory for a time. Until this week, when it’s demanding I “activate 365” to use my own files. Locked. I’m not a subscriber, nor is it in my apps. Random new fuckery. Losing my MIND.
