There’s an interesting lie going around conservative circles that 65% of Black women with college degrees work in government. Even if it were true it seems really telling that they’re using that as evidence for the necessity of Elon Musk’s purge of government workers who they say have no real skills

The New Orleans warehouse for homeless people, out of sight of Super Bowl visitors The location is only seven miles from the Superdome, home of Sunday's NFL title game, but it might as well be in a different galaxy

The story I’ve been waiting for. I was just home and couldn’t help but notice the disappearance of everything city and state officials thought might upset visitors. I told my sister it looked like everything had been power-washed. It felt like Disneyland. www.nytimes.com/athletic/612...

For years, former Black Panthers have feared that the FBI is still keeping tabs on them decades after its notorious COINTELPRO program.

Malik Rahim had never been able to prove he was targeted. Now, government docs show he was correct.

Why aren’t Black women in the conversation to lead the Democratic Party? As the Democrats choose a new chair, Black women want to be valued not just for their output, but for their input.

This sort of democratic backsliding, where Republicans seek to overturn the effect of an election by reallocating powers away from positions they have lost, has become almost routine now. But it should remain shocking.

These headlines saying that both Latino and Black men moved toward Trump are making it sound like the two groups acted in similar manners. Black men went from D+60 to D+56, Latinos went from D+23 to R+12. Lumping these two groups together feels like purposefully obfuscating a story about race.
