New this week, Bill Griffith’s fantastic graphic novel biography of his great grandfather, William Henry Jackson, who was one of the early and most prominent photographers of the Old West and was very instrumental in getting Yellowstone established as the first National Park. A+++!!!

Bugonia - BRILLIANT! COMPLETELY weird & gonzo, or should I say gonzo & weird!? I was totally there for the entirety of this new Yorgos Lanthimos movie starring Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, and Aidan Delbis. This is one of those movies you should know NOTHING about before watching!

A+++!!! Political cartoonist, Edel Rodriguez’ 2023 graphic novel memoir of his family’s boatlift to America in 1980 when he was nine and his journey to be an artist.

The evening portion of the Nevada Day celebrations have commenced at Casa Kate & Ralph (kitty and wine will not be shared with the little ones)!

Tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 1st from 9:30-4:30pm, at the Clark County Library (on Flamingo, just a short drive east from the Maryland & Flamingo intersection)!!! This is the 17th annual Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival, with one of the most packed local & visiting creators on tap (see photo 2)!

Happy Nevada Day! Alternate Reality Comics is open today until 4pm so that Pierce can get his house ready for the Halloweeners (I need to do this too)! Anyone coming in today gets two FREE comics from this display!

Even Wednesday was helping service / make the wake up juice! They were so busy that I couldn’t get a photo of them out of their station and damn Wednesday for blocking most of Mak (grin)! Isn’t it great how many people get dressed up in fun costumes for Nevada Day!?

Happy New Comics Wednesday! AND this Saturday, the 17th Annual Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival at the Clark County Library! Jill Avilez is debuting her new Vato Bunny comic at my booth & there’s like three years of guests at this year’s festival!

An excellent new 300 page graphic novel by Arnaud De La Croix and Vicente Cifuentes on the enormity and horrors that was World War II. Highly recommended even if you think you know everything about this horrific period in this world’s history.

Today is Day of the Dead (for pets that are no longer with us). Here are five cats we were fortunate to have in our lives ( from top to bottom): Pixie, Moto, Alucard, Sky, and Malificent.

Trunk or Treat yesterday with House of Cars, Stomping Grounds, and Rogue Toys was a LOT of fun! Thanks to everyone who came out, especially Frank in his killer chicken costume with his family, and to Mark for helping out!

Today from 4-8pm!!! Our Trunk or Treat organized by #houseofcarsinlasvegas, with our other fun business neighbors, #stompinggrounds, and #roguetoys! And House of Cars is having a costume contest with prizes (Alternate Reality Comics is donating prizes too)!
