Went to the movies yesterday on a whim and came back having seen one of my favourite films of the year:
Polite Society by Nida Manzoor.
A genre-bending kung-fu girl-power teen-angst heist movie.
Highly recommend.

HELLO FANNIBALS! As you generate codes, keep in mind some Fannibal Family still trying to get into the cloud!!! If there's someone you can help out, give 'em a message! #Hannibal docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Botticelli’s Primavera as recreated by Hannibal Lecter.
Good morning Fannibals! Now that our feed is growing I wanted to introduce you to Bluesky’s unofficial motto: Block and Walk.
Not unlike Hannibal’s business card collection. The rude and worse are everywhere. But most of us here choose not to engage. Block, Walk and make something beautiful +
"He was by his whole style and nature so much the most deeply “silent” of the silent comedians that even a smile was as deafeningly out of key as a yell."

Call them hacks. Call them journeymen. But Hollywood is suffering without them, and we’re being deprived of the solid entertainments that make for blissful, brainless nights in the movie theater. My plea to bring back the hack.

Because the feeling of gravitating towards doom has been a constant in my life. I'm not a nihilist though. My favorite metaphor is Walter Benjamin's angel of history. It has its back turned toward a promised paradise to which it is driven, its gaze fixed on the catastrophes that pile up in the past.

A reminder that I am a community college dropout who wrote on the internet for free for way too many years and didn't make my first sale until I was 35. The only expiration date on a writer is death. Until then, you are not a failure as long as you are still writing.

Is there a standard way ppl have started tagging their ships/fandoms yet that makes them easily searchable? I hoped they'd implement hashtags eventually but Idk if I should tag everything like this based on hope lol

P.S. please don't tell me that's called 'screening it correctly' or 'stick to PLF' because even if a. may be true, b. is neither always possible nor is it affordable. If there was guaranteed sound level for a particular slot, or time of day, that would be something I'd embrace. Being pragmatic here.

I like the idea. Me, I'd love an option on the other end of the decibel spectrum for non-blockbusters. 'Drive' for example needs those dynamics.
