Yes and no. He always kidnapped her, but because she's the princess. The crush thing came later, and I don't even like that trope, but in movie 1, that's his primary motive. He explicitly tells Peach he only took over places to prove his love for her. I'm sorry, that's not Bowser to me.

I don't even think he was evil last time, just an incel, which to me is so wrong to make as his motivation as a villain. To me, these movies fundamentally misunderstand these characters and why they became so iconic.

Bowser's supposed to be a fun-loving troublemaker who loves invading the Mushroom Kingdom. You know, evil? Can he not be that anymore? "The old Bowser," oh please, actual old Bowser would eat this jerkwad for breakfast. Furry Bowser art in your movie does not make up for that. Screw these movies.

You guys have your fun, but call me when some studio makes an actual Mario movie with a character-accurate Bowser instead of this horny puppy-eyed clown. At least they're honest about it with the trailer this time, which I appreciate. I'll just watch the SMBSS, thank you.

Anyone who's played The Wind Waker who can tell me why the Queen of Fairies isn't appearing at her fountain the Mother and Child Isles? Zelda's been awoken and Aryll's rescued, yet at the fountain, nothing's happening. No guide I've found explains this, what do I do?

I barely remember a thing about Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes movie, but man, Nado is a hot dad. This look in particular feels so seductive and irresistible...

Being an Asgore fan without being into the property he's from anymore is honestly the best experience. I get to love him, and not have to deal with the exhaustion of the games (where his only role seems to be to suffer) or the fanbase (which is apparently just as toxic as it was a decade ago).

Poor Asterius is treated like a monster from the start, which is so unfair. I always want a story where he gets a happy ending.

I hate this trend too, especially when the game gets worse after the credits. I nominate Dragon Quest XI, when everything that I loved about the story is torpedoed post-game. Think FF6, only they stop Kefka from ruining the world. Yeah, that sucks.
