@PosRegard is proud to support a wide group of schools as part of this work – helping to develop inclusive culture, strengthen behaviour approaches and champion inclusion across the area. It’s been amazing to see the impact already taking root – and continuing to grow 🌱✨.

It’s about holding people to account while still holding them in regard β€” making it clear that while behaviour can and must change, their value as a person does not.

Importantly, unconditional positive regard is not about being soft or permissive. It does not mean ignoring poor behaviour or lowering expectations. In fact, it works best when combined with clear boundaries, high standards, and consistent challenge.

It’s a way of seeing and treating others that holds firm to their inherent worth, allowing trust, growth, and genuine connection to flourish.

In the context of education and relationships more broadly, it means consistently showing warmth, respect, and acceptanceβ€”even when someone makes mistakes or falls short of expectations.

Unconditional Positive Regard refers to a fundamental attitude of accepting and valuing a person simply for who they are, regardless of their behaviour at any given moment.
