The Speaker of the house has excellent comic timing.
Starmer at PMQs: "We will continue to go after the fraudsters, the grifters and the con artists, no matter who they are or where we find them!"
Mr Speaker: "Nigel Farage!"
Indeed. Furthermore, whilst I'm sure they splatter the odd bird or two now again (so do my patio doors!), I bet you don't see flocks of carcasses either?
I love turbines. I have some nearby. Quite majestic, quiet, much nicer than a coal power station to look at, + they have negligible land take.
Exactly. How many people have actually walked up to a turbine?! They're remarkably quiet even close-up.
Love this viral advert. youtu.be/TRzEzU7kwyQ?...

06.08.2025 14:52 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0So we ditch a running ยฃ40 billion with EU on doorstep to 'gain' speculative ยฃ6 billion with India. India is happy to trade with Putin and keep him afloat. Tories think this is all success.
Trump thinks otherwise. Messy isn't it?
Further proof (none is needed) of the lunacy of Brexit.
Well I've just learned something here. I checked the figures in the article and they appear to be in the right ballpark. I was wondering how much CO2 you get from burning a litre of diesel. Turns out it's circa 2.64Kg. Strewth!
That's an obscene amount of CO2 from a rich blokes toy. ๐ฏ
Ed, I want the #LibDems to fully commit to rejoining the EU. You have to get the coms right.
I also want you to make it absolutely clear to the British public that Reform offer nothing aside failed state dictatorship if elected.
Stand in the HoC and use P-priv to call them out.

06.08.2025 10:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0...oh, and being an EU member once again would 'stop the boats' anyway, thus deflating Frogface.
Starmer is still using his Ming vase strategy and it's not working. He needs to be more brave and do the right thing.
There are few simple 'quick fixes' in this world, but reversing Brexit is as close as you'd get.
If Labour went down that road, heck, I'd probably join and support them.
They aren't, so they can go begging and prey they're still the least worst option in 4 years time.
Rejoining the EU is a long process but consistent polling shows a growing majority regretting Brexit and the positive comments from leaders within the EU make it a โwhenโ not โifโ. We do however need a government that actively wants this and thatโs not Labour.

Itโs only taken 6 years, but @EdwardJDavey has finally said it:
โBrexit is a drag on the economy.โ
โWe should be trading properly with our neighbours.โ
Now say the rest, Ed:
๐ Brexit was a con.
๐ We need to undo it.

Nearly half of Britons now wrongly believe there are more illegal migrants than legal ones - despite official data showing a mere 4% of all UK migrants in the year to March were undocumented. The toxic myth, pushed by Farage echoes far-right propaganda tactics: stoke fear, twist facts,

Brexit is costing the government around ยฃ50bn a year.
We are paying a massive cost for not being in the EU and the Eurozone, in higher inflation, interest rates, and taxes.
Sunday Times cover saying new poll shows only 29% would vote for Brexit now.
And expect that number to shrink further.
No matter how much the government, major parties, or tabloid press push โBrexit benefitsโฆโ
People know Brexit doesnโt.
Brexit leaves the UK in a structurally weaker position, bleeding money, time, efficiency and opportunity daily.
Absolutely this. Heading north from the ferry towards N Tyneside and Nโland (NCN10) you meet these 2 underpasses within minutes.
Itโs great to celebrate the upgrades on the seafront and the C2C but it also highlights just how terrible the rest of our โnetworkโ is.
