I have an MG to revise, someone else's to critique, and a messy PB I just got feedback on, so naturally I'm playing with construction paper
They had mercy on me and let me submit anyway. THANK YOU!
I blame the American education system for failing to teach me the difference between 12pm and 12am. If I haven't learned it by now, I'm never going to...
Noooo. I just tried to submit to #revpit and didn't realize it closed at noon. I thought it was midnight 😭 I was 53 minutes too late.
I feel like it would take so much time to learn it--time better spent writing. Did it feel hard to get up to speed? I did a trial version once and my naturally disorganized nature actually felt MORE disorganized by having so many different places to put things.
I swing wildly in either direction. I collapse over insignificant stressors then stress about how dramatic I'm being, then when there is an actually issue to get worked up about I'm calm to the point of annoying my spouse. Then HE is stressed about my appropriate level of stress...
Eww.
I opened my journaling doc to try to work out why I am sabotaging myself and now find myself on Bluesky.
I finished a from-scratch second draft of my MG. I got beta reader feedback--very useful feedback, in fact. So obviously I spent most of yesterday on laundry and refinishing an end table.
🤣
What a lovely campaign :)
Even back when I was in high school I thought it was boring and silly that someone had decided what the "classics" were at some point and now seemed to be stuck with them forever...and this was in the 90s, from a girl who would read anything.
Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #812,550!
Huh. What a massive leap in users from one year ago.
What I do when I'm not talking about books, reading, or writing - I talk about plants, read about plants, and plant the plants. #kidlit #gardening #procrastination #creation
So much gardening! It's finally time to harvest tomatoes. Plus: Bravely battling bugs, whacking weeds, and crunching cucumbers. Yum.
Happy #PortfolioDay!
I’m a queer, neurodiverse #KidLit illustrator open to projects from picture books, to comics, to cover work.
Bring me your cheeky, quirky, queer, feminist, body-positive, and/or social-justice-oriented stories!

So I'm here now too and it looks...exactly the same as the artist formerly known as Twitter?
