Upbeat, Downbeat...
But not beaten down! π
Jupiter goes direct at midweek, infusing us all with a positive energy and faith in ourselves and the future. The Sag Moon will certainly add to the vibe. We'll appreciate the burst of optimism as an intense eclipse season winds down.
Heavy Traffic in the Area...
I wanted to avoid the crowds in my local supermarket, so I headed over to the next town. Little did I realize I'd be held up for 5 minutes by local traffic. Mercury retrograde? π
First Quarter...
We're at the active first quarter Moon at midweek, all the more active because we're in the midst of eclipse season and the Sun is traversing the nodes. A good time to act if you're sure, but not great for impulsive decisions - especially as Mercury is stationing to retrograde.
Reset...
As Saturn & Neptune meet up in Aries tomorrow, we're about to begin a new cycle of beliefs about how the world works (and our beliefs influence how it actually works). Watch the news, if you can stomach it, for clues about the coming cycle.
A Little Bird Told Me...
Venus has entered Pisces, her sign of exaltation. In the sign of the fish, the goddess of love is less about individual connections and more about universal love and compassion: less eros, more agapΓ©. Maybe not a perfect fit for Valentine's Day. But maybe just what we need.
Going Down?
Cryptocurrency arrived in our collective awareness with Uranus in Taurus. Now that Uranus is stationed direct and leaving the sign, crypto is tanking. We're likely to see the 'end result' as Uranus enters Taurus in April. Meantime, you want a 'currency' that drops 40% in 4 months?
Did I Say That?
As Cosmic Communicator Mercury squares stationed Uranus, midweek is likely to see some very direct, frank, and surprising messages delivered loud and clear. Say what you need, no more. Careful driving, too. Sleep may be hard this week, full moon + Uranus combo = restless nights.
Revolving...
Today's Uranus station to go direct fills us with a need for independence, freedom, and change. Mix it up, do your own thing - but remember that other folks will be doing their thing, too, so cooperation may be hard to come by. Keep an eye on changes in the collective.

Roar:
Tonight's the Leo Full Moon, always the Party Moon of the year.
Well, it's Sunday, so maybe things will be a little toned down, but it's still a great energy for socializing, play, creativity, and romance.
It also falls in Imbolc, the midseason festival. Have you noticed the Sun's changes?
Hot...
2026 isn't letting up on the intensity, obviously. With Neptune now in fiery Aries, things are heating up. The past week has seen the Sun and Mars meeting with Pluto in Aquarius, sparking contention and violence. Yet the Aquarian vibe shouts 'power to the people', and outcomes are uncertain.
Prickly...
As the Sun ticks through the last few minutes of Capricorn and heads into Aquarius, we may feel some tension over the next few days. Both Sol and Venus have to meet with Pluto before really enjoying the open air of Aquarius. Watch for power struggles, especially at the collective level.
Crescent...
The waning Moon is in Capricorn. On Saturday, wrap up any outstanding work projects, and take care of household chores. Chill for the rest of the weekend, but come Monday, start thinking about your work/career goals for the coming year.
Loud and Clear:
Mercury opposes Jupiter today, opening up an opportunity to say what needs to be said, but also bringing a tendency to say too much. Some folks will use the cosmic energy to go off on a rant. Watch out for blowhards who only want to hear the sound of their own voices.
In the heart of the Sun...
Mars and Venus are back 'within bounds' this week, and they are also cazimi, or "in the heart of the Sun". Opposite Jupiter, Sun, Venus & Mars are inflating egos and offering determined but perhaps impulsive actions. Venus is there to negotiate, so try a little diplomacy.
New Year's Revolutions:
We begin 2026 with 4 planets out of bounds and the Cancer Full Moon. It's not a quiet start to the year, and 2026 will present many changes. It's revolutionary, but remember that means to 'revolve', and what rises at one time falls at another. See beyond surface changes.
A look at the first month of 2026... from an astrological perspective
armanddiaz.com/out-of-bound...
Out of Bounds...
We end 2025 and begin 2026 with Moon, Mercury, Venus, & Mars all "out of bounds". Planets OOB tend to act both forcefully and erratically, so the New Year should start with a lot of energy. They stay OOB until the Full Moon on Jan 3, so celebrations - and lunacy - will continue.
Darkness and Light:
As we approach the Capricorn Solstice, the solar power is at its ebb. This year, it coincides with the Sag New Moon, so both the solar and lunar energies are in retreat. It's up to us to bring our own light, in Christmas lights, Hannukah & Kwanza candles, and our own inner light.
Hot Air?
As we wane into Friday's New Moon, we have lots of Fire in the sky, with the Sun, Venus, and Mercury all in Sagittarius. Only Pluto offers any Air, and that might not be the freshest. Folks could polarize around beliefs without checking facts or listening to others' perspectives.
Neptune Above...
As Neptune stations to go direct at midweek, it's a great time to get lost in a fantasy, listen to music, go for a long walk, meditate, and let serendipity rule.
Practical stuff, not so much.
A Few Surprises...
As the Moon waxes towards tomorrow's energetic Gemini Full Moon, she first opposes newly direct Mercury and then passes by Uranus at the end of Taurus. Expect the unexpected and some changes of plans. The grand trine in Water signs helps soothe and smooth things over.
Fast Enough:
Mercury has spun around to go direct, ending his retrograde. Don't rush out to do Mercurial things - give the Cosmic Messenger a few days to get up to speed. That might be a little challenging as the waxing Fiery Aries Moon is inclined to give us a little push forward.
Some Effort Required...
This very Saturnian week begins with the just-waxing Capricorn Moon. Don't push too hard. Take care of routine tasks and ease into the workweek. Delays and hesitations may be part of the picture, with both Saturn and Mercury stationing. Still, Saturn appreciates effort.

Surfing:
We wax out of the new moon quickly this month, as the Sun opposes Uranus before leaping into Sagittarius. The Water Grand Trine is still active, so what do we do with so much jangly emotional energy? Surf! Handle things as they come up, respond with flexibility, and be ready for surprises.
Cooperation...
Get it while you can. The waning Libra Moon is void to start the week, so take care of routine matters - it's no time to start something new.
Watery...
The Sun (Scorpio), Jupiter (Cancer) and Saturn (Pisces) form a Watery grand trine as the weekend bends towards the new week. Great for processing and releasing emotions in a safe space. Enjoy the mellow vibe along with the waning Moon: by midweek we'll feel a more charged energy.
If only!
