Of course where it was a tasting consisting of almost solely Nebbiolo I now feel like I’ve bitten into a tree. So much tannin, so little time. 😵💫
Wonderful tasting this afternoon with Astrum Wines at their fine wine pre-release. This, from Pianopolvere Soprano, is a winner. Complex and juicy with years ahead of it. Ripe red fruit and a bracing vibrancy, coupled with some of the most well-integrated tannins that I’ve ever had from a Barolo.
