The Association of Electoral Administrators (AEA) have published a new report, which likens the way UK elections work as trying to operate in the 21st century using 19th century infrastructure.

This is a tough one on the back of David Johansen last week.

RIP Brian James, without doubt the finest guitarist I have had the pleasure of seeing. I’ll never forget meeting him backstage after the Lords of the New Church gig at Huddersfield Poly in the 1980s.

So sad. The last of the lipstick killers. A massive part of my youth and musical upbringing 🙏

Big news today in #localgov land: the govt has announced a policy statement on the future of local govt funding.

The long delayed so-called “fair funding review” is back- a new consultation will look at a system which “matches funding with need”…
