Yep. "Hurt people hurt people." People who are damaged and focus only on their hurt and don't mind hurting others to get ahead, because "that's what everyone does." They feel like they've uncovered wisdom by cheating, as if they're the first to discover cutting in line in front of others.

This is the core proposition & selling point for reactionary thought: not that they are better, but simply that *everyone* is corrupt, everyone is a crook, everyone's just out for themselves, so you might as well get yours. That is the molten core of right-wing thought everywhere.

That was something I meant to look into: what's the state of attaching keyboards and even mice to Android and iPhones.

I mean, I can think of browser based REPLs and web tutorials and such, and my "scroll art" programs don't require graphics or anything since they work with just "print". But yeah, typing Python code from a phone seems like a nightmare. There must be ways to help this audience.

I mean, my contention has always been that hackathons should be fun little networking events, and if you spent it trying to code something, you were wasting your time.

Week-long game jams sometimes produce cool things though.

Has anything good every been made at a "hackathon"? Either a one-day or one-weekend hackathon. Everything made was more about promise/hype and it was basically forgotten or dropped a couple months later, if not a couple days.

Have you ever seen something of substance made at a hackathon?
