Even worse is the final step of recipes which say things like โ€œmix in the cooked noodlesโ€ while never having mentioned the noodles before in any precious step.

I need my recipes to be chronological!

Here's a wildflower garden I had a few years ago ๐ŸŒฑ. I used a premade seed mix that year but there were some non-native plants included.

Trying again this year with all native wildflowers.

Thatโ€™s a good point. Although I think it usually gets down to about -10F by about early February. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Gorgeous. Does it bloom in mid winter? Or perhaps itโ€™s already warming up where you live.

Is that time of winter where Iโ€™m contemplating on a daily basis how early is too early to start some seeds indoors.๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Where I live we usually can guarantee frosts till about Motherโ€™s Day. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Today's Gardening Advice: This is Christmas Fern, or Polystichum acrostichoides. An evergreen fern native to the U.S. Here in New England it was frequently harvested from the wild to use in winter planters, so natural populations have lowered. Slow to spread, prefers rich soil that is dry. ๐ŸŒฑ

TLDR my unsatisfying answer isโ€ฆdonโ€™t expect the best but it canโ€™t hurt to still try. :)

In my experience it somewhat depends on the seed. I believe the issue is generally the moisture content of the seed that will determine its future viability. The more dried out the seeds are, the better the chance they will still be fine. (Itโ€™s the damage caused to cells by freezing/unfreezing.)

Lovely potential here. Iโ€™m starting a few cuttings of these myself from an older tree in my garden and hoping to eventually pot them up like this.

What fun! I started a cutting of
this species from a 12 year old tree in my garden a few months ago. Iโ€™โ€™ hoping to eventually shape it into some sort of bonsai.

Thank you for your encouragement on here. My disabilities have been...disabling recently, I've not been able to do much & I haven't felt like a valuable human, BUT I *can* post a photo here & maybe lift someone's mood a little with it,even when I can barely move. That's a really good thing.๐ŸŒฟ
