Most of the deportations under Obama were of persons apprehended at the boarder and rapidly deported; and yes he did allow "kids in cages" to occur. But agents did not for the most part tear into society to capture long standing residents, criminal or otherwise ; so little activity was observed.

They should have stayed, defended the illegal stance the DOJ was taking; gotten fired for such, then sued for wrongful termination. But now their positions will just be filled with loyalists. I'm not sure that quitting was the most admirable decision.

I would suggest that ICE protesters carry secondary phones to protests or ICE interference. One used for recording and not much else. If they get your "real" phone with your contacts to anti ICE postings, or networks you use for anti ICE activities, you and such networks are screwed.
