In Michigan, we've led the nation in expanding access to and securing our right to vote. And we won't stop now.
We have to build a new Democratic Party, build a new American Dream, and build a new country after this administration.
First, we have to acknowledge how we got here: and that our institutions have failed far too many people for far too long.
Rev. Antoine Colvin’s congregation and community are lucky to have such a compassionate and dedicated leader.
I’m so grateful to call him a friend and supporter.
Blurry selfie... clear momentum.
Thank you Lt. Governor Cherry, Senator Cherry, Genesee Co. Treasurer Muma, Flint Council President Lewis. And THANK YOU FLINT.
When it comes to gun violence, we cannot accept inaction.
When I get to the Senate, I'll work to:
✅ Nationalize Michigan’s red flag law
✅ Reinstate the Assault Weapons Ban
✅ Repeal gun industry immunity
✅ Ban ghost guns
✅ Fund Community Violence Intervention (CVI) nationwide
Michiganders joined protesters in all 50 states this weekend to say one thing: ICE Out

ICE out of our communities. Now.
200+ showed up in Grand Rapids today to welcome Senate Leader Winnie Brinks to Team McMorrow.
Let’s win this thing.
There weren’t many people who thought we could beat a Republican incumbent who had just won by +16 when I first ran for State Senate in 2018.
Troy Dems did.
We organized, we rallied, and we came together.
And we won.
This year? We’re going to do it again.
Former State Senator and past chair of the International Joint Commission Lana Pollack knows Michigan needs leaders who don’t back down from hard fights and aren’t afraid to dive into the hard work of governing.
Grateful to have her on our team.
The Holocaust attempted to exterminate an entire people - their lives, culture, families - by perpetuating a cycle of hatred, antisemitism, dehumanization and lies.
Today we recommit to fighting against antisemitism and hate in all its forms so these horrors may never happen again.
On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, 81 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau on January 27, 1945, we remember the six million Jews and countless others killed by the Nazis.

Special thanks to Alpha Kappa Alpha, Alpha Gamma Omicron Omega Chapter and the Farmington Hills Democratic Club for hosting a deeply meaningful conversation about democracy through the lens and legacy of the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
From fixing roads to keeping local retail shops open and thriving – Tina Talley spends every day delivering on the issues that matter to Romulus residents.
Welcome to the team, Mayor Pro Tem!
Here’s what we can do – and are doing – about ICE right now.

Let’s break it down:

Big news: I’m proposing an expansion of RxKids nationwide.
It’s a better “baby bonus,” evidence-based and research-backed – created here in Michigan, proven here in Michigan.
1/
Congress: not one more penny until we get the same oversight and accountability we demand from every law enforcement agency.
2/2
Another person was killed by ICE in Minneapolis, after state leaders told them to leave, local officials told them to leave, and local law enforcement told them to leave.
But Trump’s ICE continues on its collision course making our communities LESS safe - not more.

In this moment, the status quo won’t cut it.
We need leaders who recognize the gravity of this moment, who tell it like it is, make clear who and what we’re fighting for, and have the track record of getting it done.
@chrismurphyct.bsky.social is one of those leaders. Let’s go win.
Welcome to the team, Senator. Let's go 💪

Mayor Laura Kropp does that work every day for Mount Clemens – and I’m so proud to have her support.
As we commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, we remember his words:
“We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now."
What does the "fierce urgency of now" mean to you?
So many people showed up at our brewery tour tonight, they ran out of glasses.
