'Trump administration statements on cutting fraud and waste is “a distraction,” because there was never a systematic review of programs to see if there actually could be cost savings.

“frustrated by mounting medical bills, and, ironically, long wait times in the private health system, I transferred all my health care to the VA. The decision was life-changing. My care team at the VA saw me quickly, understood my military experiences,…”

I am honored @mlrobertsonmd.bsky.social 🙏🙏 #traumainformed care so important for older adults @tihcer.bsky.social
Love it and one of my colleagues just emailed me that she was listening - the fabulous Dr. Rebecca Stetzer, who is not on social media #thisisgeriatrics ❤️
You were there with us (and I called your influence on me out!) - so grateful for your leadership and support in this work. 💜

Grateful to have the opportunity to speak about trauma-informed care with @geripal.bsky.social alongside @ashwinkotwalmd.bsky.social & Dr. Kate Duchowny.
This is core to inclusive care. Tread lightly, be kind. We know not what someone has endured.

“Computers are indirect costs. They are essential for research, but don’t get used up,” Iwashyna says. “Research office space, lab space, staplers, libraries — all of these are not specific to only a single project, so they are covered under indirect costs.”

Thank goodness for the American Medical Association. Here is their YouTube page. Please share far and wide. Right now bird flu is spreading throughout our country and most people have no clue. Please stay updated and bookmark this page for your health and well-being.

I am so proud of Hopkins standing up for science and the future
🧪Surprise, I'm back with another #breakingnews request. If you work in biomedical research (infectious disease, chronic disease, food safety, drug safety, vaccines, etc.), I'd love to hear (very soon) about how you think your field will fare under RFK's leadership of HHS. Please share widely!
Amazing!! ✨✊🏻💜
Not gonna lie, I was terrified
IMHO: Our answer must be: we will not accept segregation as the cost of science.
Segregation is antithetical to good science.
We will not roll back our integration efforts at our universities.

By the way, Bishop Budde has a book! Let's send her to the bestseller list. This book is already backordered on some sites. She proved yesterday that she's an expert on the topic about which she has written.

Right back at you. Thank you for your mentorship and sponsorship, @iwashyna.bsky.social - such gratitude over here heading into a new year.
Not all at home or wearable health tools are clinically valid, but patients want to use them and they can be helpful for triage.
These tools can empower patients to be more engaged in their health, a big plus. Now we researchers need to study their utility. Kudos @mlrobertsonmd.bsky.social & team
Proud of this collaboration with amazing colleagues asking important questions about ambulatory use of (biased, OTC) pulse oximetry in triage decisions.
I was looking for you!!! So sad to miss seeing you, but I hope for a reunion in the near future!!
