Ads need to:

💡 Be clear. Don’t let your message get misunderstood.

👋 Be in the places that matter.

👫 Be human. Talk in a way that people know and would use themselves.

For me, these ads are a good lesson for everyone working in the comms and advertising industries (some might say more so for those working in public sector comms).

The environment for these ads is also great too. They’re in a place that matters, right where decisions are being made. It will make some people think.

A beer may that promotes sensible decisions around drink driving

I really do believe that the most effective messages are the simplest.

I spotted these beer mats in a pub last night and love how clear, direct and unmissable they are. No jargon or complicated stats, just a big old reminder that even ‘a little’ can carry big consequences.
