I've collaborated with Classic_X to bring my model of Metal Sonic (Classic) into VRChat. This is (technically) an edit of the Generations model, trying to get close to Metals appearance in both Chaotix and CD's artwork.

timeline interpretation

Recently it was confirmed by one of the people that designed his second form that the internal name for the red guy is "Devil Sonic", or "Devil Metal Sonic." As a ref to Devil Gundam.

Kai being associated with the red form is a common misconception. "Metal Sonic Kai" is Metals name in the JP manual. tldr same mind as CD Metal but given a new body powered by the Dark Ring. (Kai is pretty much THE Metal from this point on, they just stopped using the naming convention post STF)
