As Vice-Chair of the Canada–US Interparliamentary Group 🇨🇦🇺🇸, I spoke with the UK delegation about trade opportunities & deepening relationships with our G7 partners, including the UK 🇬🇧. Our government is focused on supporting economic stability & strengthening Canada’s role on the global stage.

Strengthening parliamentary relationships with our international partners 🌎 is an important part of our work. This week, I met with Members of Parliament from the #UnitedKingdom 🇬🇧, including Catherine McKinnell, former Minister of State for #Education 📚🏫.

Today, we released the findings from the probe on unpaid work in the federally regulated airline sector. The probe did not identify evidence of a sector-wide problem. At the same time, the information provided by the parties was not sufficient to substantiate claims of unpaid or underpaid work.

Following yesterday’s tragic shootings in Tumbler Ridge, B.C., I have asked that Canada’s flag atop the Peace Tower, and across all government buildings, be flown at half-mast for the next seven days as our nation mourns with the community.

Today, I presented a petition in the House 📋 on behalf of constituents calling on the government to protect Canadian media from foreign interference. 📽️🇨🇦

Their concerns are now formally on the parliamentary record, and the government is required to respond. 💬
