In such a case there’s discordance between apoB and LDL-P. Likely the LDL-P is a false positive. The apoB, LDLc and Non-HDL-C are all concordant and thus believable.

"Understanding the Lipid Panel" - next are insights on Non-HDL-C which refers (1) to the mass (weight) in mg of cholesterol within all of the apoB-containing lipoproteins per dL or (2) the number (in mmols) of cholesterol molecules in all the apoB-particles per L.
