Tests for kube-vip showing IPv6 egress

Finally managed to get IPv6 egress re-implemented using the go nftables pkg (uses syscalls) in kube-vip. 🐙

There's a lot of kube-vip.io deployments out there 🤩

Getting very close (github.com/kube-vip/kub...) Kube-vip.io can now egress pods through a service IP providing stable addresses, without the need for a bunch of external tools in the pod 🥹

How did you find the conference? It was my first Cisco Live and after years of just presuming the world was on Kubernetes, it was intriguing to be somewhere were no-one knew what I was talking about half the time 😂

Excited to get to a point where kube-vip.io will finally be free of shelling out to ip/nf-tables for its egress functionality. 🤩

The project could also watch for disk activity or other read()/write() actions to sleep the process but it would need to ensure the process is awake before allowing things to continue.

If the long-running task was spawned from an inbound network request then I presume TCP keep alive would keep the pod from being suspended.

Sat on my bike in front of Emley Moor mast.

Lovely morning to the Emley moor mast and back! One road had 23.4% gradient on it, which was fun.

The early morning was pretty grim, but I did find a cafe that had 🐝s in it. Including some actual queen bees!
