Ambulances, helicopters and medical advice: Behind the scenes at one of Ireland's 999 call centres Staff at the National Ambulance Service’s two call centres process around 1,000 emergency calls every day.

Chances are that if you’ve dialled 999, it has been a worrying moment in your life.

But for staff at the National Ambulance Service, such calls are a normal part of the 1,000 or so emergencies processed at their command and control centres every day.

Very proud of our Luke as he and Orlaith present their project on Microplastics in fish gastrointestinal systems from different catchments. Can’t wait to go up and see all the projects later in the week. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ #BTYSE

It all starts out great, talking about old decorations, the boys chasing each other with cheap tinsel that makes you itch. Everyone’s having a ball, then the music and untangling lights combo kicks in!!πŸ˜±πŸŽ„

Absolutely true, LLMs aren’t a substitute for knowledge. They’re incredibly useful tools, but you need to know enough in the first place to see when the output is wrong. Also works when you get output and then go and learn enough to know it’s right.

#Gemini Advanced is impressive. I was reading a complex paper and had questions. Fire up the AI and before I knew it I was having a conversation about specifics in that paper and how it relates to other models. You need to know enough to see if it's wrong, but still incredibly helpful.
