Newspapers knew what was coming in the late 90's. They formed online companies to stay pertinent in media and advertising. Media companies ike Gannett, WaPost, NYTimes once owned Cars.com and Apartments.com. They could not
convert their focus to the future at that time as print was so profitable.

I think we need to use the political terms "left" and "right" less often and instead frame the battle as "democracy defenders" vs. "fascists" or "the pro-dictator crowd."
It's not partisan, and in many cases it's not even ideological. It's decency vs. indecency.
