Actually gave her a different strange job in the administration. And without evidence, but knowing Donald Trump, my guess is he wants to keep control of her because she has secrets. So he’s still going to pay her.

I’m not so sure about knowing they got it wrong. Republicans in general construct a plan of what they feel would work without evidence. When it doesn’t work, they do more of it because they still think their original thinking is right, again with no evidence.
