21.09.2025 10:03 โ ๐ 14 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Totally agree with this article that, especially in the current climate, having the three feathers as our logo is a hindrance to Welsh Rugby and Wales in general. Certainly stops me buying any merch.
Interesting point about the Women's team getting more identity too.

Only 400 players? I'm STILL thinking about how well Japan played 3 weeks later.
Unbelievable job, very bright future
Alice and Bailey are referenced in a Guardian article โSome of the most entertaining content produced during this tournament has come from the Kiwi reporter Alice Soper and her partner, who have been putting out videos on how queer each team are (they do it without outing any of the players). OutSports reported that there were more than 50. Soper reckons thatโs an underestimate, and the number is above 150. When she ranked the teams by how many queer players they have, she got video messages from players on the Brazilian and US teams demanding a recount. โWe know that the USA belongs on that podium, weโre queer and weโre here,โ joked the US prop Charli Jacoby. โBut not everyone,โ she adds, deadpan. โThere are some straight sisters.โ
A headline from the 2023 FIFA World Cup reads โThis is the gayest World Cup ever (and no oneโs batting an eyelid)โ and underneath is a hero shot of Alice and Bailey sitting in the crowd with a sign that reads โTheyโre Lesbians, Staceyโ and draped in a progressive rainbow flag.
Every womenโs world tournament we attend, we are bringing the queer representation ๐

Didn't shirk a single carry and always made ground after the tackle. Very impressive.
Had a cracking time at the world cup today. Crowd was lovely and good humoured, some of the play was outstanding. Niece loved it, I loved it.

I'm ridiculously excited, and my niece will also be seeing her first women's games too!

19.08.2025 22:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It is literally all a cost cutting exercise, and it's so painfully obvious they're hoping it can be dressed up as a fix for the previous attempt to do this
19.08.2025 22:26 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's very hard to feel hopeful about any of it.
Beyond some kind of miracle government level intervention and clearout I just can't imagine the WRU getting anything right.
This is literally all being organised by a guy who just got here and hasn't worked in rugby for decades...
how does Moana Pasifika's jersey exist in the same timeline as this horror.
