King Mohammad V transitioned his title from Sultan to King after gaining his country independence from France. He toured the US in 1957 to strengthen diplomatic ties. He visited Disneyland with his daughter Princess Lalla Amina on December 2, 1957. Here’s some bonus photos from other sources. 3/3

Randomly came across Disney artist Frans Van Lamsweerde in one of those posts that casually boasts, “My father was an artist at Disney.” And my follow up, “What was his name?” Then the unfamiliar name, followed by a Google search. And then, “Holy Cow!” Pictured here are his private Christmas cards.
How amazing! I randomly found him about an hour ago from another appreciation post. He has a style that reminds me of Eyvind Earle. Absolutely gorgeous!

It is my understanding that is has already been protected by the LA Conservancy. However, it is a residence and 9 apartments and from what I have gathered there are existing tenants so that would provide incentive to keep it as is and further complications for any change. All good things!
