As I finish up book 10 of “He Who Fights With Monsters.” Read. Fiction? Non-fiction? Who cares, just read. Read like your reality depends on it. It really might.
I heard people quote these things as obvious truths tonight. Despite no evidence. When I kindly, and supportingly, asked for evidence beyond Trump’s own words. It confused them. Nothing was more sure and valid, than Trump’s own words. How? Such an accomplished and obvious fabricator? I don’t know.
I now live in a USA, where Trump supporters, believe themselves as infallible as the man who never stops telling lies. I gently tried tonight, but zealots have no doubts, only faith. I am at a loss, as a trained and learned rhetorician, that my arguments bounce off sealed ears. It breaks my heart.
I exist precariously, holding on to my fragile ideas as possible truths. “Truths” I would willingly surrender, given adequate evidence they were never valid. That I was wrong and fallible, because of course I am.
For me? No WMDs. We thought we were post 9/11 justice. We volunteered. We wanted to help repair an unspeakable tragedy. We made it worse, and damaged so many in the process. The lies of Trump are sloppier and even more obvious. We deserve better. You, me, everyone. Not controversial. Respect.
I spoke with those who were implacable in their requested judgement (why request judgement?), of everything Trump does, perpetually.
Acquiescence, only upsets, if it applies to you (unless you have given up, embrace the void).

If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected — young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! — and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.
In most states you can not get a driver license or ID via “the internet.” You can learn where to go I suppose. Also, birth certificate and driver license/ID requirements vary greatly by state. Her ignorance is not surprising, however. It seems to be her superpower.
