New collaborative work our team in @plos.org Plos Computational Bio. Our goal was to demystify the annotation process and make it more accessible. Give it a try! @terryfoxresearch.bsky.social @bhcri.bsky.social
Now officially peer reviewed and published: www.frontiersin.org/journals/imm...

These posters are common in airport and train station bathrooms. Look at the supportive (mostly) crowdsourcing! I especially appreciate the translation at the bottom. Let’s all help out like this!!

Beyond the science, my group is committed to patient engagement in research, and I'm the scientific director of the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute, which aims to elevate cancer research in Atlantic Canada. (I suppose we should make a BlueSky for that...)
And can be leveraged to target hard-to-treat cancers.
My lab focuses on pancreatic, colorectal, lung and ovarian cancer especially.
We use spatial biology, AI, machine learning, loads of flow cytometry, model systems and humanized mice to test our ideas.
Thrilled to have a new place to chat science. Here's what we work on:
Natural killer cells will have an important role in scaleable, affordable off-the-shelf immunotherapy for cancer. We study how the naturally-occurring and transferrable diversity in human NK cells drives their function...
Me!
Today is world pancreatic cancer day. Take a moment to learn about the signs and symptoms, and if you’re going through this, reach out for help.

Swiss Army knives: use the receptors in combo, or alone, and as many as you want. Some tools are productive (activating) some are suppressive (read: bottle opener) and some are superfluous given what you're trying to do!
