It's hard to not see the parallels with what happened with Ars Technica, but the silver lining is that I think you guys handled it well just like they did. Publishing is built on trust and no editor ever jumps to bad sourcing or outright fabrication. The original author is the real loser here.

Wow really cool to see the price of gas at the West Knoxville Costco go up 20 cents in like a day, thanks Trump. It's not like I'm spending over ten grand or so trying to close on a house! No fucking biggie!

I've got the Panther Lake MSI Prestige 14 so I've not even bothered loading Linux on it yet. Unfortunately Windows 11 works well enough after using the debloat tool.

There must be some reason they do stuff like this, or somehow the people who run Microsoft Build just don't know what Computex is.

This is such a nonsensical thing to say when Phil Spencer's first famous moment in Xbox was announcing the awful pricing of the Xbox One. Even if you just consider the time he was in charge, it was just downhill all the way.

Everyone else has done much worse than just wasting money, they're saddling themselves up with debt. If they just spent a big chunk of their cash and lost it, big deal. But this debt is gonna stick around for years, decades, and they'll also be making less money for at least a little while too.

Turns out the PC case was a Faraday Cage. All that WiFi card shit was pointless.

Two Markets, One Asset: The GPU Debt Market Is Building the Architecture of Its Own Crisis
Moody's rates data center debt AAA. The CDS market prices the same sector at coin-flip odds of default. Four generations of GPU depreciation data show why the CDS market may be right.
Food for thought: B200 GPUs appear to have lost 73% of their value in the last nine months.[1] At this rate, the Solstice system at Argonne (100K B200) will have no commercial value when it comes online.
Maybe thatβs what makes it affordable.

I hate to say it but he's absolutely correct, if the people who run the system choose to not enforce the rules then Trump can absolutely ignore a Supreme Court decision. It's always been this way, Trump's just the first guy to successfully ignore the law at this scale.

This poll is so damning. 40% of people think Trump is the country's worst President. Worse than both AJs, worse than Buchanan, worse than Nixon, worse than Dubya... 2026 is about to be a rerun of 2006.
