This year's Summer Games Fest presentation was really concerned with how few people made a lot of those games, huh?
It feels kinda fucked up. Not just because they're often misrepresntating the real size of these teams, but because I think it's playing directly into a new(ish) flavour of dev hate.
It’s incredibly noticeable how often ‘and an army of outsourcers outside America and Western Europe’ is left out of these team sizes. That’s the part I find real uncomfortable.

This is a game I continued to think about long after playing. Incredible storytelling.

I've known anecdotally that writers were hit hardest, but it's wild to see the hard numbers. Over 3x the layoffs of business & finance

The number of milquetoast companies posting their jobs as “Remote” because they know it draws more eyeballs/applicants but then saying some version of, “lol j/k, please live close enough to our office to smell what’s in the microwave” says an awful lot about where we’re headed these next few years.
