NSFโ€™s commitment to basic science โ€” accruing knowledge for its own sake โ€” is one of the most laudable missions of any organization. Always such an inspiration.

Interesting. Any ideas why this would have evolved? Or is it just because of its location?

Love those theta rhythms. Always have! From the very (!) early studies suggesting they predict potential for learning.

Itโ€™s difficult for people to imagine this change affecting them. Until they or a loved one becomes ill. One of my best friendโ€™s daughter was just cured of a cancer she thought would kill her only 6 months ago! Scientists are in it for the long haul.

So interesting. Not easy to study for obvious reasons. But correlation beats nothing!

Good points here. Iโ€™ve seen it happen over the decades. No time to think. Too many forms to fill out!

True this. And itโ€™s okay. Itโ€™s how we learn whatโ€™s real versus just an aberration.
