The subject matter! Dana, a black woman in 1970s LA, suddenly gets transported to an 1800s Maryland plantation. It was so hard to read about the treatment of black people, even when they were being treated “fairly”.

I didn’t realize this was the same world/sisters as in The Neighbor Favor. Now I’m even more excited to start it! But dang it, now I need the middle book lol. 📚💙 #currentlyreadi̇ng #kristinaforest #thelovelyric #theneighborfavor

I read it last month & wow!

I finished Under the Dome by Stephen King last night. It was really good, not much horror thank goodness. Definitely some gore & really awful human beings. 4/5 ⭐️ I’m happy to have finally read it too. That 1000 pg beast has been sitting in my Kindle for 12 long years!! 📚💙

I started Little Women for the first time tonight. (It’s possible I read it as a young Jenn and forgot.) Of course, I know some big spoilers already. And is it possible it becomes like Anne of Green Gables and is a new favorite? We shall see! 📚💙

I’ve decided it’s time to tackle my digital tbr. Little Women has been on there since 2012 & Storygraph says I have 64 ebooks unread. I think it’s more than that. But these first few are some hefty books & are gonna take me awhile. 📚💙
