I've been looking through these highbrow answers & haven't dared post that the poem I most frequently recite to myself out of the blue for no reason is the "Kiwis do weewees" one from Roger McGough's Imaginary Menagerie. Or maybe Michael Rosen's 'Hot Potato'.

A near perfect book, I know it is going to stay one of our favourites.

I was always so proud that the Girl Guides were so inclusive, made a point of mentioning it (positively) every time I did one of their satisfaction surveys as Bea went through Rainbows & Brownies (she decided not to carry on Guides because it clashed with swimming). This is so upsetting.

I was thinking this morning, this year I've not got any new #Christmas books with global majority characters created by authors/illustrators of colour. Anyone got any recommendations? #BookAdvent #KidLitUK

I love the Hogfather, and actually really like the Sky adaptation of it so will rewatch that this month too. Bea's lifelong favourite is Little Robin Red Vest by Jan Fearnly but we also love & re-read Tinsel (& Sprout, new last year) by Sibeal Pounder.

My daughter's [primary school] teacher set them homework where every question or answer had 6-7 in it! So I think they're ok with it, for now 😅

When S&I were planning our wedding I was insistent I wouldn't have a fancy dress or bridesmaids, but mum & sis persuaded me to have a little look in 1 shop...3 hours & much fun later we'd ordered 1 for me & dresses for my & his sis 😅 I still don't know how it happened but I also loved our dresses.

This looks like great fun!

I guess we should be pleased they're not rushing tat out? Maybe in 30 years we'll be innundated with choice as with Nightmare Before Christmas (a far greater temptation for us both).

I was looking at some merch & told Bea I was sorry but it wouldn't be released in time for Christmas and she said to not worry coz she'd be over it by then!

The book advent is getting trickier as more chapter books go in, but it is still mostly Christmassy picturebooks to reminisce over 😊
