A man was taking photos of my daughter on a Sydney train without her permission. She is 18 and he was in his forties.

He refused to delete them saying he only took two photos(!).

She went to the police station and NSW Police say there is nothing they can do as it was a public place. Is that true?

Albanese government rejected advice on Tasmanian salmon farming impact before passing pro-industry laws FoI documents show ministers ignored recommendation for fresh inquiry that could have reduced or paused farming

Far out.

“The environment department advised the government in late 2024 that it should revoke a 2012 decision that allowed salmon farming to expand …”

Paul Conroy — a brilliant photojournalist who documented wars & human chaos for decades — has passed away. He was injured in the same attack in Homs that killed Marie Colvin & he just carried on travelling to conflict zones.

May he rest in peace.

I put my phone down on the dining table with the camera on. I noticed that this table hole looked like a staring eye. I couldn’t resist capturing it 😎

British submarine arrives for ‘extraordinary’ AUKUS visit A UK nuclear-powered attack submarine will spend a month in Australia despite the problems plaguing the British navy.

The UK’s HMS Anson submarine is in Australia for a month of maintenance.

It was commissioned in 2022, and is the only available submarine in the British navy’s fleet of five Astute-class boats. The other subs are not available.

Why are we doing AUKUS again?

tweet from @cliftonhowze on twitter

Last night at the #DataCenters meeting in Claremore, Darren Blanchard, who has attended most of these meetings around NE Oklahoma & has some pretty impressive FOIA/ORA skills, was arrested after going over his 3 min. allotted speaking time. First arrest I've seen at one of these.

in america, if you go over your 3 minute allotment to speak, men with guns come to take you away.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest prompts calls for justice in the US US lawmakers say action by UK authorities on matters arising from release of Epstein files compares unfavourably with a lack of accountability in the US

Marijke Chartouni, an Epstein survivor, said: “It took British police less than three weeks from the release of the latest tranche of Epstein files to arrest Andrew, making Pam Bondi and Kash Patel look increasingly inept.”

A very accurate statement.

I’ve avoided the news for week as well and I feel a lot better for it.

I think this has got to do with me not being affected by Bannon and Trump and their “flood the zone” strategy.

Palantir surveils everybody but its own misleading accounts - Michael West While Palantir is busy poking its nose in everyone’s business, it doesn’t want us looking into its own, not lodging financial statements.

Epstein's pals Palantir legged over Australian regulators claiming to be a "small co - not part of larger group" despite actual size of $450B. Lying while they get untendered govt contracts.
