A large group of small, glossy cowrie shells on a white background. Each is beige/brown in colour with many white spots. Some of these have a smaller dark spot within them giving the appearance of tiny eyes.

The Ocellate Cowrie (Naria ocellata) is a beautiful little shell covered with many tiny 'eyes'. It is relatively common in South India and Sri Lanka.

🌊🐚 I still remember the time when my aunt brought back seashells from her travels. I must have been 5 or 6 years old. I even brought them to school to show my classmates. Since then, I've always been in awe of seashells and their beauty. ☀️🏖️
