I used to be a State of the Union nerd. Found it interesting as both policy vision and political theater. Started watching with my parents, later hosted watch parties. We made up drinking game rules, and made fun of the pageantry.

Dems helped make the $100+B for ICE horrors happen by spending huge amounts on right wing ads on immigration in 2024. We don't have a lot of visibility into how this decision was made, but we know the outcome: it was a political disaster that has now metastasized into a catastrophic policy disaster.

I read the whole report on youth gender medicine out of Utah and found so much more there than the headline, which is that a report commissioned to look into the evidence on youth gender medicine found hormone therapy and puberty blockers are safe and effective.
This looks like something youd have surgically removed.
Noticeable that teenagers routinely demonstrate an ability to speak more clearly about right and wrong than almost every elected leader in the Democratic Party. (See also: gun control, gay rights, racism, etc.)
