I wanted to spice up my marimo environment so I wrote a simple code to slowly change the lighting on a Circuit Playground from @adafruit.com and put it in a mustard jar lid. Marimo mood lighting. #marimo

I'm still bummed that maxheadroom.com is gone. I'm not sure when it came online but it's been there FOREVER. It had everything Max in one place, all collected and maintained by one superfan. It was a relic from the Old Internet but it was made with a lot of love and lived 20 minutes into the future.

Thank you, I really didn't know the extent of her health problems. The shelter was just awful, so small and crowded. Most likely all the cats there have the same issues. She just climbed up and sat on my shoulder so I had to get her out of there. She's sweet and gentle and I love her so much. 🥰

She's also got ringworm which means I also now have ringworm. 🫤

Look at Sadie's toe beans! She has herpes, calicivirus, mycoplasma and bordetella. Yesterday her last 3 teeth were removed & she's a LOT more comfy. She's gonna be ok but she's got a month of meds and treatment ahead. I hate to ask for money but I could really use some help.

I think it's day 12 without Effexor? I'm feeling much better but things got scary dark for a few days. I threw most of my stuff out the window in prep for offing myself. After days of constant self loathing I wanted to be gone. I don't think I'll ever get over that feeling.

I was listening to alternative music until Nirvana came out. And then alternative music became all grunge. That's when I turned off the radio.

I was just talking with my pharmacist about when my Dad died. I said he was really old at 88. My pharmacist said that in Spain that's not old.

I hate asking for help. I rescued Sadie from an overcrowded shelter & her health is far worse than I was prepared for. I'm on a tight budget & can't work due to my visa. I've spent 2000€ in just a few weeks so if anyone can spare a little help, I would be so grateful. 💝

So with Spanish residency I can travel anywhere in the EU without a passport. So what if I just don't renew my US passport? I'm not really seeing a down side.

So we got a little rain in Spain.... This river is usually a trickle, you can often walk right on the riverbed. But it's been built to handle these torrential seasons without flooding the town. Thanks 11th century engineers!

This feels like being really drunk while not feeling really drunk. Maybe if I got really drunk I could cope with these symptoms better? Probably not worth trying. I just wish this wasn't so overwhelming.

Day 4 without venlafaxine. Withdrawal symptoms:

-Brain zaps haven't improved
-Vertigo & imbalance when walking
-Still twitching
-Brain fog might be lessening?
-Still getting chills and night sweats
-Vivid dreams, difficulty sleeping

I appreciate the article you posted, it made me feel less alone. And it justified my anger. I can't believe none of this was told to me in advance.

I'm in the thick of it right now. I really empathize with the anger some of these people are feeling because if I had been informed about the addiction and withdrawals in advance, I would have certainly said no. I'm super pissed at my US doc for putting me on this shit.

For the love of gods…never let a doctor put you on #Effexor. Take anything else.

Currently in my first week free of this med and the withdrawal symptoms are brutal.

I am so grateful for the #doctors supervising my transition in meds, but still wish I’d never been put on this in the first place!

Day 3 without effexor. It still sucks.

-Brain zaps continue
-Vertigo is just as bad
-Couldn't sleep well
-Chills and night sweats
-Brain fog is a little better
-Nausea comes in waves rather than being constant
-No anxiety so far today
-Twitching has improved
